Mike Anderson, CRMS is a 33-year veteran of the mortgage industry. Mike is currently the Southeast Regional Director for Mortgage Financial Services overseeing their growth throughout the Gulf States.
Mike has provided expert counsel to government agencies including invitation only meetings with the CFPB, U.S. Treasury, SBA, HUD, U.S. Sentencing Commission, and Fannie Mae. Mike has also testified before Congress on several occasions as it pertains to the mortgage industry. A U.S. flag was flown over the U.S. Capitol at the request of U.S. Senator David Vitter in recognition of his work in Washington, D.C. with regulators and members of Congress before, during, and after the mortgage crisis.
Mike is a current Board Member of the National Association of Mortgage Professionals, and he is a Past President of the Louisiana Mortgage Lenders Association. He also served on the Residential Lending Advisory Board for the Office of Financial Institutions for the State of Louisiana. He was appointed by Governor Blanco to the Housing and Community Development Advisory Task Force for the State in 2007, National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB) PAC Chair 2009/2011, NAMB Government Affairs Chair 2010/2012, Board Member National Association of Mortgage Brokers 2010/2012, Vice-President NAMB 2011/2012, and Board Member of RESPRO & The Realty Alliance.
Mike was a regular and frequent guest on WWL and has been quoted in many local and national publications. He was awarded the NAMB's most prestigious award of National “Broker of the Year” in 2010.
Mike resides in Mandeville and enjoys spending time with his children and grandson. He loves Louisiana’s heritage and enjoys festivals such as Jazz Fest. He is a guitarist and loves music of all types. In his spare time, you’ll most likely find him outdoors, fishing, hiking, and frequenting the beaches of the Gulf Coast. He has been an avid surfer since childhood and enjoys the ocean.
